Weidel Real Estate Welcomes Katherine Weidel

From the Desk of Richard A. Weidel, Jr, CEO of Weidel Real Estate:

We are pleased to announce that my daughter, Katherine Weidel, is joining the Weidel Real Estate Brokerage team. She will be our Director of Corporate Operations, supporting the Sales team.

I recognize the rarity of multi-generation companies in today’s business environment and am honored to share this special news. I was overjoyed five years ago when my son, Rich, joined on our 100th anniversary to help drive the company forward into the next 100 years. It is gratifying to witness the growth of our new employees working alongside our dedicated, long-term team members to propel Weidel into the future.

Katherine, in conjunction with Judit Hendricks, VP and General Manager, will be supporting the Weidel Corporate team. They will be focusing on marketing and client services, while enhancing our distinct company culture. Katherine will also be responsible for the implementation and management of integral support systems to enable Sales Associates and the Management team to reach their maximum potential. Rich will continue a primary focus on the growth of our Title Insurance and Mortgage businesses.

As a graduate of Bucknell University, Katherine majored in Sociology and Economics. Post-graduation, she moved to New York City to begin her career at Yelp, working in sales. She then turned her focus to human resources at a global media agency. There, she gained experience in talent acquisition, learning & development, and corporate culture. Over the subsequent years, Katherine expanded and finessed her Human Resources expertise, moving to Denver, Colorado to become a Human Resources Consultant. As a consultant, Katherine has helped various companies recognize the impact of people and operations on their growth potential. Katherine has deep experience with operations, but thrives on turning “big ideas” in action.
