Weidel Doylestown Supports the Homeless

Doylestown, NJ – The effects of volunteer work are enormous for both the volunteer and those who receive the support. Last winter, the Doylestown Weidel office spent an afternoon cleaning and supporting the Doylestown Homeless Shelter.  Several members showed continued dedication to the families who lived there by providing safe transportation for the children to and from summer camp and helping with socialization in the children.

“I have been working with a mom and her two adorable children, 3-years-old and a one year old and have seen such growth over the past year.  The little girl has come from a shy, non-verbal child to an animated outgoing little girl, thanks to everyone’s generosity and dedication,” stated Barbara Smith, Weidel Doylestown office.

With help from the Weidel Doylestown volunteers such as Suzanne Bentrim and Amy Williams, the child’s mother has been given the opportunity to return to Bucks County Community College to study for her CAN which she hopes to complete in March.

The Doylestown Weidel agents made such a huge difference in the lives of this family, and the office returned to the shelter this winter and plans to continue their support.

If you are interested in volunteering, or know anyone who is, please feel free to contact the shelter and ask for Kate Bianchini at 215-345-1492 or you can email her at
